The Federation of Information Technology Industry Sri Lanka
(FITIS) was set up in 1996 with purpose of giving a much-needed
focal point for ICT industry in Sri Lanka. Today, FITIS is the
apex body of ICT industry in the country covering all major
industry segments as
Infrastructure Chapter, Software Chapter, Education Training
Chapter, Communication Chapter, Digital Service Chapter,
Professional Chapter, Office Automation Chapter and Professional
Consultants Chapter.
FITIS works towards shaping & leading the strategic direction of
ICT industry with cumulative membership of over 200 active
business firms in the industry. FITIS is a member driven nonprofit
organization & the membership is open to all companies &
organizations locally that are involved in ICT business. FITIS is
committed to foster a healthy growth of the industry focusing on
resolving policy issues, lobbying with state authorities,
co-operation and alignment with regional and global industry
bodies and promoting harmony and innovation within the ICT
industry.
We are committed to help our members achieve greater success
through advocacy, public policy, Education Networking,
professional Development, Events and Business Development
opportunities in domestics and foreign markets. FITIS advocates on
behalf of the full gamut of digital business interests including
technology startups, small and medium sized businesses, national
and multinational organizations.
While our presence include representation to stakeholders across
the public and private sectors, we have a long and successful
history of influencing public sector policy as it relates to the
digital industry.

To promote, encourage, foster the development and safeguard the interests of anybody corporate of Information and Communication Technology Industry.
To act as an advisory, consultative or coordinating body for anybody corporate of the Information and Communication Technology Industry.
To represent the members of the Information and Communication Technology Industry to negotiate on all matters concerning the industry in all discussions of the Association with the Government of Sri Lanka.
To promote and liaise with other bodies, with similar objects with a view to facilitating the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience.
Formulate, maintain and publish Codes of Conduct to be observed by the industry and to promote and encourage high standards of conduct, service and performance throughout the Information and Communication Technology Industry. So as to develop the confidence and respect of the public;
To encourage and foster ethical and professional standards of work and conduct for members of corporation and to take such steps as are necessary to promote the same.
To interact with the Government or any public bodies with view to promote the interests of FITIS and the Information and Communication Technology Industry.
